Default what do you use?...

Hey everyone, now i know this has been a topic of discussion many many times before, but im gunna need to bring it up. Recently ive finally gotten broadband, could i please have some of your personal thoughts on file sharing programs that you find good for downloading movies. I basically use winmx, emule, and well not anymore really, but kazaa lite. All my mates recommend emule, and i havent had any problems with it, but the last 3 movies in a row have downloaded wont work. (yes i have all the codecs etc)

But yeah id appreciate a few ppls opinions, thanks everyone...

I've been using DC++ for a few weeks, seems good with huge amounts to download. My mate swears by it, hardly ever uses Kazaa or the others.

Try http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/ or a google search. A bit messy to set up, have to open a specific port on your router, but well worth the effort. Only downside is some sites want 100's of gigs (yep gigs) shared for access, but there are plenty with less. Then everything is available...

Check out a distribution client called Bit-Torrent. Kinda funny to use where as you have to download a file from a 'tracker' (called a Torrent) which you open in the client ( Bit-Tornado, Azureus ect) where it'll then download. There are a few good tracking sites out there which i've used with great success, Never had a dud file and always had good transfer rates.

Second the motion. I use BitComet and find it very good. A lot of Torrent sites I have used are down aTM, but try TorrentSpy to get you started.

I've used kazaa lite K++ for ages now... it works pretty well and i can normally find most things im after. The only problem is with a few songs and artists you just can't get a clean copy it really shits me off that people corrupt the files :(

I use Emule and Limewire.

Emule is good to download albums/movies/games/anything big (this is nasty and illegal and you shouldnt do it :P) but will take ages to download things, so set 20 in a queue and come back in a few days ;)

Limewire is great for getting one or two songs as you go...they are really really quick though.

Another vote for BitTorrent, I use ABCTorrent and use torrentspy.com and lokitorrent.com
I have used exeem too, but I still prefer to use a dedicated torrent client software.

One tip, when you use bittorrent, you need to assign certain ports to your ip address, this will speed up your downloads a fair bit. Just search google for 'bittorrent port forwarding' or similar and you should find out how to adjust your routers settings.

I use warez. it is really good for music. If you want a song, chances are, no matter how crap it is, you will have it on your computer pretty quick. Just don't make the mistake I did. I wanted some vids of fallys doin burnouts. apparently, Falcon = Gay Porn. Not cool!!!
