Default XB - XC Values!?!

G'day everyone,
Ive been in the market for a 6 cylinder xb or xc for some time now and just watching the price variations on some cars is ridiculous! They all seemed to be getting rather expansive recently but i have been browsing the latest just cars magazine and theres a few rippa looking bargains in there. An xb that runs and drives that is in fair working order for $500.. thats unheard of. But then there are some in there in pretty ordinary condition for 10g! Watching the cost of these cars through various websites and magazines and they are all over the place. So im just looking for your input on this matter? what are these cars really worth?
Cheers,

How long is a piece of string? Original? Features? Matching numbers? Condition? So many variables.

Cars are worth whatever someone is prepard to pay. Some sellers are dreamers, others are unaware they have undervalued.

Picked up my XB 6 cylinder for $1100 18 months, mind you needs a fair bit of work done to it.

XB's/XC's sedans seem to be always living in the shadow of the coupes unlike other models XW XY that don't have to contend with them, so you wonder if this is a curse or a blessing price wise.

They aint gonna get any cheaper so you better jump in before it's too late.
If you want an XC, the better of the 2 models IMO, go for a GXL if you can get one.
