Anyone know a place i can go in Adelaide that restores the brembo brakes on our cars? Looks like over a bit of time the brake fluid has killed the clear coat.
If not, then what do people use for the red and white that matches close to the factory brembo colours? Also, if i paint myself, should i use a proper brake clear on top? What have others done? Cheers

Cheers, yeah i reckon i have read just about every article there is on various forums about it. I reckon it can still be painted if I use the right gear.

Did a set here in Adelaide a few years back....had them soda blasted intact as this doesnt affect the rubber seals etc.
Then used a ceramic paint, a specific POR product for calipers which you hand paint, but self levels to a nice finish. Did 2 track days after which didnt affect them. Also sourced cheap Brembo replica, heat-resistant stickers from e-bay which still looked good when i sold the car on. |

If its just the clear cant you give them a light sand and clear?
Seen a few people do this to pretty average looking calipers and they look mint after

Thanks all, im going to wet and dry and then clear and see how it goes. If this looks no good, then ill pull them off and go crazy re paint, new decal, clear etc.

OKay Peeps, quick update on this one. Did a quick resto ob the brambos today. Pretty much just cleaned the hell out of them, wet and dry up to 2000 to scuff them up (was very gentle on the logo ansd corners). Then sprayed with VHT Gloss Caliper paint. Pics below SHow before and after.
 and after...  how much money does a forensic anthropologist make
