AU2 F62900 T6 COVER FRONT CUSHION, RH, WRM CHARCOAL - KONSTRUCT CLOTH, XR $151.11

Thanks for that russel. Im thinking door trims are a tad too expensive so I might opt for a wrecking yard. Parts data search engine is fabulous, great job

Anyone know the part number for this part?

As you can see, mines starting to warp. Is it a simple rip out and glue back on job?

you will need to pop the airbag cover off, you may break the (4) little plastic lugs that hold it in but dont worry they are no more than a $1 each. Cant remember if you need to take the airbag out but its only 2 screws any way. The strip is only held in by either 2 or 3 bolts. Very easy job.

Um, does anyone know if the boot lid carpet from the LWB cars fit the bootlid of the SWB's? Reason I ask is I notice that there is a strap that you can pull to close the boot, which the SWB bootlid carpet doesn't have.

Using the pic above as a reference, is this object just the silvery part around the t-bar, or does it also include the woodgrain surround?

I'm looking to add some ghia bits to the AUIII fairmont I've just purchased. In the process of hunting online for a good pic of the t-bar I found a ghia of the same year, full leathers, V8 for only $2k more than I paid for the base monty. Argh!!!

Russ, thank you very much for your work with the db and followups here. This has got to be one of the most useful threads ever!

Also as an off topic addition to my last msg, is the LCD backlighting in a fairmont ghia yellow? It's white in my fairmont.

Rowan,

that gear surround part only refers to the silver part. The woodgrain isnt included, but for $10 you cant really complain!

LCD backlighting is white as far as i am aware.

Just a quickie - any idea what the radio console part # on an AUIII fairmont is? I mean the entire "alien head" section including vents and demistor button. I tried a few different searches but I can't find anything obvious.

Colour isn't important, if the price is reasonable then I'll take the whole thing to the parts store to match it properly.

Thanks in advance for any help...

OT musing: why do many of the AU series parts numbers start with ER? Was that going to be the model id before they changed to 'AU' ?

Hay Russ I was wondering where do the prices come from?

I ordered;
TAU2 10849 A INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, XR, LESS POLICE PACK $431.00

When I went in to order it they told me $580. They gave trade and that was $480. They asked where I got the price and I just told them net and they said ok we will match it and gave it to me for $430. Why they wanted to match it I don't know but Im not complaining.

I was wondering is the price difference just because of dealers?

edit; I didn't actually tell them this site as I wasn't there purchasing it at the time though it sounds like I did! It should be when my brother went in to order.

In the initial guidelines for use of the database I pointed out that the original pricing was current trade pricing at the time of collation (now some 9 months ago) but should be used as a guide only. Obviously the prices of some things change over time which is why it is only a guide at best.

Cheers

Russ - Any idea what the part numbers are for the indicators (the complete assembly, not just the lenses) that go in the XR series front bars. I found these ones on the parts database, but I'm not sure if that's them:

AUTVE 13B041 A SHIELD LAMP OPENING, RH, XR $50.96
AUTVE 13B042 A SHIELD LAMP OPENING, LH, XR $50.96

Cheers.

Try these:

ERTVE 13368 A LAMP ASSY - FLASHER, RH, XR $50.90
ERTVE 13369 A LAMP ASSY - FLASHER, LH, XR $50.90

The bits you found are the XR headlamp covers I believe.

Cheers

Thanks Russ. Flasher must have been the only word I didn't use. I tried indicator, blink/blinker, lamp (more than 30 results, I think, so didn't get to the ER parts), turn, signal. Didn't think of flasher.

Ta.

I wish I had a camera to explain this better...

I'm after the part number for the XR Ute rear panels that sit on the side of the cab, in between the seats in the rear of the cab. I believe that they had the cut out ready for 6x9" speakers.

Thanks in advance to anyone who finds it.

Correct on the T-Series trims romaniac.

OK -

AUII SE Ute - the good news is they are available - the bad news is that it's a single piece that goes from one side, across the back and to the other side and thus costs about $360. Part number BAP 424B10 B1. Reminds me I need to add the ute info to the database when time permits as they are classified as commercial vehicles.

Cheers

As far as I can see the only option with the XR kit (unless you want to do some mods to the kit) are the little splash shields:

ER 16B560 A SHIELD SPLASH, RH $36.00
ER 16B561 A SHIELD SPLASH, LH $36.00
Cheers

Hmm, from what I can see with my ute, is that it looks like the side panels can come off. Thanks anyway Russ.
