Default 'clicking' sound when using clutch

Car is an AU3 XR8 5M, noticed tonight that when I put the box into 1st and use the clutch I am hearing a clicking type sound that coincides with the clutch. It's intermittent and the gearshifts are still fine, and it's only going into 1st that does it. Wondering if anybody has an idea of what it might be?

And also, do AU's suffer from the same firewall cracking that E series manuals do?

Thanks + also for the link on Ebay. Looks like I might have to get this put in.

The one I was looking at on Ebay is a genuine Ford part and cheap enough. Are people bolting or welding these parts in?
