Aside, I think that obviously tying it to an “out of town” entity (BAC) may not have helped.
Is that stain on the ground the oil that's supposed to be inside the sump of your Alfa?

Curious to see the result of the discussion in the legislative assembly, I'm thinking regardless of the economic benefits Wakefield Park brings to the surrounding area that parliament does not care.

Is there a vested interest there on local council who wants the land for something?

It seems unlikely, would be an odd choice to rezone for residential.

The Petition was submitted by a concerned group who stated in their covering correspondence, that they are not associated with the BAC - the owners and operators of the circuit.

If I was a politician reviewing this matter, I’d be more interested in hearing from the owner-operator, rather than the users of the circuit.

It would be unusual for the Government to do something on a matter like this without getting some input from the owners.

The BAC has been very quiet. Has anyone heard what they are proposing?

Seems to be a proxy war at the moment. BAC aren't in it per say but their employees and people working at the circuit driving the petition.

This is an automatically generated email from the NSW Legislative Assembly.

Unfortunately, the ePetition "Save Wakefield Park" will not be debated in the Legislative Assembly, as there are no more sitting days scheduled for the 57th Parliament before the March 2023 election.

The NSW Government will still respond to the ePetition and you will be sent a link to the response when it is received.

Complete with a new flagship event where budding politicians slalom around pork barrels.

Smart move. A lot of motorsport enthusiasts voted the Libs when they promised to pay for lights at Sydney Motorsport Park. Getting Wakefield reopened would sway a fair number of votes though the $1million is a far cry from the $32 million the libs offered.

Interesting indeed. You’ve got a keen ear - any clues on the terms of sale or price?

Wonder how the Shelly's go with this. They bought out all the complaining neighbours at Marulan once they bought the track off Gary.. Wonder if they have the same approach to Wakefield.
