Reminds me of a near miss in my AU III Fairmont as an 19 year old.

I entered a ninety degree bend, wet road, most certainly not attempting any heroics or excessive speed, the rear snapped into sudden lift-off over-steer, I managed keep it pointing in the right direction but ended up mounting the curb and coming to rest on the foot path. I'm still surprised it didn't cause any damage to the rims of suspension.

In the video above, the guy keeps saying he wasn't driving like an idiot and I believe him.

I did the same thing in my EL Fairmont Ghia going from tarmac road onto dirt road on a 90 degree turn, except I nearly went backwards off an embankment and down a hill, I managed to stay on the road

New underwear required, everything was fine until it wasn't fine

Was teaching young one driving and he did exactly the same thing in the Sprint, went in too fast. He reacted really well once the tail slid on the gravel, instinctively moving the wheel to correct and regained control. Impressive, though he was a bit shaken. And we didn't go through the farm gate.

I'd say he's worked that out, and has now put Continentals on the AU.
