Default Alpine Cruise - Sunday April 11

This cruise was hugely popular event last year, and this year it has a bit of a twist - this time round, we will be holding the run in conjunction with the HSV Club of Canberra.

As we did last year, we'll head out through southern Canberra to Cooma, then turn onto the Snowy Mountains Highway where we'll drive through Adaminaby and on to Tumut where we'll stop for lunch. Then we cut across to Gundagai before heading back to Canberra on the Hume Highway.

The roads on this trip are fantastic fun and a great day is guaranteed. Its also a chance for us to show the HSV boys some quality Blue Oval metal!

Not bad so far but more cars would be even better - we don't want to be outnumbered by the Dark Side!

Ok everyone, we will be meeting this Sunday morning at the Woolworths Caltex servo at Hume (right on the Monaro Highway). Meeting time is 8.40am for a 9.00am departure.

We’ll stop at McDonalds at Cooma for a coffee break and then it’s on to Tumut where we’ll grab lunch at one of the pubs. There will be a couple of photo stops on the way as well.

Could everyone please wear their club shirts and don’t forget to bring your UHF radio too.

Hi all,

I have to work Saturday and then go to Sydney to collect in-laws, depending on how long I work Saturday, I may have to go to Sydney on Sunday. So If I'm not at the starting line on time, I will be heading to the big smoke instead of having a nice drive in the country. :

As always a great run through the snowys.

Although the weather turned on us, it wasn't enough to dampen the experience, although we all ended up somewhat damp at the dam.

Thanks to the HSV Owners Club members for showing up, while outnumbered, they certainly put on a good show, and were very nice (maybe due to the outnumbering )

More pics as always here: http://photos.datamine.tk/v/2010/AlpineCruise10/
(note: I'm trying a new web site, let me know if there's any problems)

Hey Chris, great pics and site. Only thing i would look at is the upload speed. Was pretty slow, not sure if your hosting them yourself or elsewhere.

Also was a great day. I didnt mind the rain, plus it was directly IN THE DAM.
