Im still undecided about them at this stage, im worried it will loose its uniqueness with the Duratec I5T gone and turn into a GTi, that said ill still drive one when they arrive

The red actually looks ok. The Peformance Blue is quite ok as well. Still prefer the LV but slowly I think it's starting to grow on me.

I too was a bit iffy on the new look but in the metal is has so much more presence than the outgoing model, all but the RS.

In the specs on the first page it mentions a sedan. I didn't realize they were releasing a ST sedan, as I have not seen any pics.

Rumour has it 45k but we are still unaware of the spec level coming to OZ if its decent spec ie ST2 it should be good.

Cant say as im pretty sure there are no new XR5's in the country they are finished. Im pretty sure on runout they were 34k~.
When released they were 37k~

Looks like we are getting ST2 spec level it was loaded into Fords system today. No ETA or pricing.

Focus ST with exclusive leather package (In addition to leather sport package):
■ Bi-xenon headlamps with Cleaning system and LED daytime running lights
■ Driver and front passenger seat, 8-way power adjustable
■ LED tail lights, tinted dark
■ Recaro rear bench seat with three Seats
■ Recaro sport seats in front, with leather upholstery, heated

I would want those fancy headlights, well maybe we would have to order them online and fit them ourselfs i guess

Yeah no Xenons here, but they may offer the SEP pack. If the lights are anything lights in the current ST (Not aus ones) then even standard will be good.

But to buy a set are very pricey.
At least we arent getting the povo one like the US should see their seats (ST1)

It's good to see some movement on this here in Aus. When you say it has been loaded it to Fords system, would this be something the dealers have access to? Have any options been loaded? My ideal setup would be ST3 set-up with the ST2 seats + Moonroof and after seeing the filming of the US Ad I am pretty sold on getting Tangerine Scream.

Being loaded into the system mean that the car 'exists' in the system. So dealers know what the car is.
Not sure about options, i think we will be limited to options hopefully they give us the SEP option.

Good stuff mate, seems the new car is generating some interest. Im not sold yet IMO it looks a little soft compared to LV XR5 and its missing the I5T, but that interior is awesome. Ill drive one when released and make up my mind.

i think the old one looked more aggressive because the base shape is more boxy. personally i really like the new ST, im in no rush to sell my TE but if it does go the ST could possible my new car. Is the times quicker to 100 an better cornering speed from the old focus xr5? also has it been released yet anywhere in the world? im waiting/searching for an online video review.

Dont think the 0-100 times will be much different, new car has more power but has more weight aswell. New car has TVC (Torque vectoring control) cornering might feel better but i dont think it will be much quicker.

Edit- looks to be about the same weight.
Hasnt been released anywhere yet, i have seen a short vid filmed at night from inside the car, its not much worth looking at though.
