hey guys just changed my au2 to manual and now when im driving it stalls and nearly stalls (100-200rpm) when im coming up to lights or traffic to stop when i push the clutch in and it goes to neautrl and down to idel rpm. it also happens if im cruising along and just put the clutch in or put it in nutreal and let it drop to idle revs. i changed to manual ecu and also changed the wirering to the manual harness not just wired into the auto one. any ideas guys its ****ing me off.

there has been a few guys here having the same problem of late including me. still not sure what mine was but i had the throttle body cleaned then reset the ecu and its been fine since

how do you clean the throttle body. after you reset the ecu did you do any of the stuff they say to do with idleing in nutreal with a/c on off etc?

i always had this problem after disconnecting the battery in my manual ea...i know its not an au, but after a week or so it fixed itself and didnt do it anymore. i know its kinda annoying, but try the ecu reset procedure. then u will know if it works, otherwise ull just have to put up with it til it fixes itself up

i dont think its low idle cause after it nearly stalls it comes back up to normal idle revs. what is the isc and where exactly is it?

The ISC is the Idle Speed Control valve and it sits on the Throttle Body. It's job is to maintain an even idle, especiallyh when slowing down. Sounds like yours is stuck or at least not working properly. GK has done an article on how to clean it - would be worth doing (it costs nothing), even if it just eliminates this as the problem. check out the isc as mentioned and oxygen sensor too...if not take it to ford and get all the codes etc recoded such as your map system etc & stuff.

au2 stalls and nearly stalls when slowing down and stoping at lights etc.
Linear Mode
