A beautiful summation BlackLS. Thankyou for that. The "oversquare" nature of the Duratec was the thing I found most interesting from the figures.

The Zetec was definitely designed for low down torque. When you look at the exhaust set up, you find the same thing (shorty header etc)

I must look around and see if anyone has shaved the head to lift compression...and what the results are
