Fair enough. As someone who sells cars for a living the issue is (and this is why we get angry) if the conversation starts with "I'll give you $7k less than you're offering" generally makes the salesperson think you're a dick not worth pursuing.
This is usually followed by "I'm a serious buyer" which after 15 years in the trade I urge you to believe me when I say that it always means they are not a serious buyer.
As others have said if someone genuinely wanted to buy the car they'd put more effort in to it.
