This was the original quote below. When you add back the fumigation and GST price should have been $5498. By the way the fumigation for stink bugs ($350) was never done as the vehicle missed the window but thats a side note.
Final cost to me was $7551. Main reason was cited as US customs fees although doubtful if any additonal fee was actually incurred.
I also agree their first statement that they are different to anyone else particularly if anyone else honours their quotes and timeframes, answers the phone, responds to emails or gives a ****.

Anyway lesson learnt for sure, next time do a lot more homework.

Quote below.

The first thing you need to know about us is that we are different to
everyone else! We offer to start to finish services that include the following:

- we can organize pre-purchase inspections if required
- we can assist with the negotiation of the vehicle and secure
handover of funds if required
- we handle all US interstate shipping
- we will do the Vehicle Import Application (VIA) for you
- we offer FREE secure indoor storage while the VIA comes through
- we offer FREE shipping of most parts with your vehicle
- we have 7 staff in the USA to manage the business on a daily basis
- we have 5 staff in AUS to manage the business on a daily basis
- we use our own uniquely designed rolling racking
- we clean all of the vehicles for AQIS (Quarantine)
- we offer asbestos testing and mitigation
- we do everything to make the shipping process simple for you

Your Quote # is BRI1120MX and this quote is valid until December 5,
2018. All prices are in Australian dollars.

The cost to ship your 1984 AM General from Los Angeles, California to
Brisbane will be A$4,275 in a container with two other vehicles.

The quote includes US overland transport with a trusted and reliable
transporter, the cost of the import approval, all paperwork with both
the US and Australian governments, storage in an enclosed indoor
secure facility, up to 2 hours of cleaning and preparation for
shipping, free shipment of up to 1 cubic meter of freight, NATA
Approved Asbestos Testing, sea transport in a 40' enclosed container,
packing and unpacking, all Australian clearance costs and the
Quarantine inspection fees and three days of storage in Australia.

This price does not include fumigation and GST. GST is charged on
the cost of the vehicle and the cost of shipping.
Glad to hear you got all your stuff!

Haha are they serious about the 7 US staff and 5 AU staff?!

Anyway, they are full of lies and bull****. Never using them again!
