I've got a newer 4 stroke my parents gave me when they put artificial turf in their backyard.
The story with the old Victa - which is about mid 80's vintage - is my Dad bought it used when our 25+ year old Sunbeam mower died. It had duties for about 10 years on a standard block, then I used it on a large unit, then smaller again when I moved. It runs, but the throttle cable has either come loose or snapped, but it starts and runs anyway. I've currently got 2 mowers in a single garage and will probably go to a battery mower and line trimmer in the next year, so I want to start with getting rid of one of the petrol mowers.
My lawn is probably the area of the nature strip in the above post ^^, so it wasn't getting much of a workout.
Anyone who is willing to come to Dandenong in Vic to collect can have it. |
