Michael Slater takes aim at Scott Morrison over India COVID travel ban, but is criticised for being a "spoiled prat"

Former Australian cricketer Michael Slater has challenged Prime Minister Scott Morrison to "take your private jet and come and witness dead bodies" on the streets of India, doubling down on his earlier criticisms of the federal government's controversial travel ban.

Agriculture Minister David Littleproud took a swing back at Slater, saying he should "get over himself".

"This is a pandemic that he knew he was travelling in," he said.

"Yes, we granted him authority to travel but there's this thing called personal responsibility.

"Take some personal responsibility, he actually has the resources to look after himself and we're going to try and look after those Australians over there.

"But he's acting like a spoiled prat."
