Alright let's take a mid weight between the 2 which puts us at ~1950lbs. Reason, a lot of stuff get pulled out of the street version of the car and to handle both power requirements and the scrutineers a lot of stuff gets put into the car.

I assumed a frontal area of 30 sq ft and a drag coefficient of 0.45. If anyone knows better, it is easy enough to recalculate.

A more direct indicator of hp in a drag race is mph, however, there are rules of thumb of ETs should ideally match up with certain mph ranges and vice versa.

In this case both numbers correlate well.

To convert to fwhp I am getting 705hp if taken from a 600rpm/sec dyno pull from a calibrated SuperFlow 901 or 902 water brake dyno.

A steady state reading would calibrate to around 740hp. Both of these numbers are from a highly efficient chassis and powertrain combinations.

This maps to ~2.766 lbs/hp or 2.635 depending on method.

There are some more simplistic algorithms out there, such as the Moroso "Miracle Wheel", etc that use 235 as a constant.
