But that's the thing, they toughened up getting five stars rather than adding a sixth or seventh star
so the scoring was made much tighter and includes the items you mentioned, not having expected
equipment is now seen as failure to gain sufficient points for the five star rating.
This is also why buyers are now completely confused, the standard has changed and cars that
used to rate at five stars would barely get four by today's scoring system.
The issue with Mustangs is that the cars was designed to meet USA IIHS crash test procedures,
I recon they just copy-pasted it in for the Euro NCAP test and got their figures burnt, the tests
are different enough on scoring systems and side crash test versus pole test to make enough
difference to make Mustang look bad....
