The lack of qualifying empirical data on "failures" tells me that
they got their hands on Technical Service Bulletins.

As most may already know, these are just recommended fix procedure for
serious faults that have occurred in the past and simply what Ford will pays for.
There is no data to back up wide spread engine failure (check for aftermarket tune?)

This reminds me of the fire in the Everest press car, misrepresentation of the highest order
and when we know what really went on completely different to that portrayed.

Automotive journalism and ethics in reporting?
