Lucky it's still under the statutory warranty. Toyota told me to book into the 'experts' Ford and they would pay.

I got about 2 weeks and 300km before mine did the same, also at 72,000 km on a 3/4yo car.
Thank god for stat warranty, and lucky for you it seems the Toyota dealer is doing the right thing by letting ford handle it. Exactly what the mazda dealer did for me, after a bit of convincing on my part.
