The RACQ came and the headlights, radio and power windows all worked. Tried jumping starting it but still nothing. Ford said that the battery was faulty and this caused the computer to come up with an error code that needed to be reset before it would start again. I'm not sure why a car wouldn't allow you to start it with a low battery but will allow the lights to come on.

Because a starter motor will take up to 35 Amps and you are better off leaving what current available to get the car started and having safety lights on especially on some dark hi-way
