Its quite simple jason when you break the first beam at finish line that is your et, between then and the second and third beam is mph so if you happen to lift your foot anywhere in that span your mph is lesser. Quite simple answer to all this don't back off until well clear of beams hence the term drive it through the back door....Hope this helps
