Have the other cars been a similar size as the mondeo with the same profile tyre? I think you should run a minimum of 36 on the 18's. It's annoying considering the recommendation from Ford but manufacturers seem to lean towards comfort when recommending pressures and sometimes it's to the detriment of the tyre. Having said that, if you were within the recommended range, the report from the conti reps should be interesting. Don't hesitate to push for a new set.
