If you can imagine the lines are the chassis rails and the arrow is the crossmember /v\ that would explain why the outer edges are not sitting flat.
Or is it just the RRS mounts arn't a perfect 90 bend

You know I was joking right?.. yeah the brackets are good, I did use clamps to pull them tights against the bottom of the chassis rail & it's clear that it's my crossmember that's had a smack & will need to be repaired.

The only reason I haven't drilled & bolted the additional two holes up on the brackets is I'm deciding if bolting is the way to go or if I weld them on instead.
