Fitted BA GT-P rear springs to the XR6. Small difference but noticeable improvement.
Not as soft as before. Same as BF XR8 springs. 0.5mm thicker in wire diameter compared to XR6.

Put this on my back window:

It was taken on my phone in bad light so its hard to tell, but its that one way vision stuff. It cut out so much glare, and covered up all the scratches on the window, too.

Wrapped my dump pipe in Thermo-Tech 900* wrap which has done wonders for the under bonnet temperatures.

Took my car to Willowbank after spending 4 hours adjusting the suspension for racing ... still laid a single pegger skid for 100m...

Got out the pressure washer and gave it a real good clean and degrease, rebuilt the starter motor, re-adjusted reverse gear, took 99% of the play out of the steering, pumped the tyres up and gave it a quick wheel alignment - goes like a brand new one now

Oh; that was my ride on mower

Changed the bearing/hubs on my BA, put new pads in at the same time.
The hardest part was having to go shopping for a 36 mill socket for the retainer nut on the hub, had to go to a specialist tool shop.
Ford wanted $190 per hub, genuine article off Ebay, $75, you do the maths.

Killed it...

These straight 6's are pretty tough engines, but they don't like sucking water

Drained the water out of the airbox, took the plugs out, cranked it, put them back in. It ran for a bit sounding very bad, metallic knocking/rattling noises then siezed.

This was on the Central Arnhem road NT, waited about 2 hours till the 3rd car that came had a satellite phone (no phone service), called my mate, waited 2 hours for him to get to me. Then he towed me 2 hours back on the dirt road.

If I was anywhere else in the country I'd just get another engine to drop in, but here it'd take ages and cost heaps to freight one in. So I'll just have to push it out to the tip... sad really, lots of perfectly good stuff on it.

Anyone want any XH parts? Free, pick up only from Gapuwiak, NT!

Pulled the oil pressure sensor out of the au 5lt. Its decided to squirt about 4 litres of oil on the road on way home then oil light cam on. Its squirting out were the copper spade goes into the sensor. Changed air filter ,plugs, plug leads and cleaned throttle body out. Also picked up a parts motor for my hilux rock crawler truggy. Excitement all round
