Default BA Radiator overflow tank on AU??

Hey guys just after some much needed knowledge, Will a BA overflow tank fit and AU without modding??

Ugly egg carton looking thing on the drivers side of the engine bay?? thats what I'm talking about, the header tank.

If that is the case, yes it can be replaced by a BA header tank. But you will need the lower BA radiator hose and a longer top hose that connects to the radiator cap spout.

Ask Mechan1k as he has done it.

hey im pretty sure the ba/bf have different coolant sencers. i no u can get after market metal ones on ebay.

It can be done ... as long as your AU doesn't have a coolant level sender in your original header tanks.

As the BA/BF ones have no provision for them at all.

Blueoval pretty much got it right ... need the lower radiator hose from a BA ... and the top small hoses need to be longer (can get these are any auto parts place off a roll and cut to correct length).

Wanting to put the ba tank on my au aswell

Does it matter that the au tank has that short overflow tube near the radiator cap and the ba does not?

BA header tank installed on my AU running fine no dramas

Yes had to buy the 2x 10mm new hoses and 1x BA header tank to radiator hose
