Welcome to AFF Glen. There is a sales yard but you need a minimum 25 posts before you can post in there.

G'day all, thanks for approving my m'ship. Have used some of the vast info here over the years but now hope that I may be able to make a contribution. Have owned an XP, XA, XC, XD, XF over the years and now an old AU ute workhorse for my house reno. So reliable and the LSD is fantastic, but have needed to replace a few things over the last few years. Will post later on this.

Cheers,

G'day Wazza...You must be a great bloke if you are involved with some great AU's .. and some really cool ones at that . I have one but I've had her quite a long time AU ll Futura Classic 2001.. There's just something about the AU for many of us that sparks joy ..The rest can please themselves I keep saying .

Also an FG XR6..

AFF is cool isn't it , especially if you want to find out stuff and engage in some great topics ..The odd row but all with passion and well moderated ...

Cheers Rod .

Thanx Roddy1960, I love the AU's with a passion, def one hell of a Falcon, I do have an issue with one of them tho (S3), a fuel issue, running rich and blowing black smoke as well on the odd occasion after starting it (Normally at operating temp) and putting it into gear bangs into gear and stalls (reverse and drive), the gear thing has happened after a stint off the road and disconnecting the batt, the running rich has been a problem since i've owned it,,,,anyway still figuring out how it all works (the forum) and will post up the problem soon....once again cheers Roddy1960

Hi there guys thx for the add. Currently the owner of a 5.0 5 speed AU ute and a series 2 AU XR6 sedan. Took awhile to find the right combo in the sedan as I wanted a car that had the right amount of shopping trolley dents and peel to give the car the the indication of a one owner that was a daily driver but not thrashed. I'm about to drop in a NA Barra FG, so out with the VCT. Being of the wrong side of 40 I'm hoping to achieve old ***** in a run down car look lol. Can't seem to upload pics.

Barra engines are slowly getting popular here in South Africa and that would be my next route. I hope this is the place to get more info on how to get them to 2jz killer level

Hey,
I’m new to this Site and have joined for some info on my xw ute. Im just about to upgrade brakes , steering, and suspension with RRS stuff. Wondering about others thoughts on their stuff. Engine is old school 393 naturally aspirated with c6 making to much hp for original brakes.
Cheers

Eminently upgradeable to massive power if you do the turbo so long as you do it right and start with a factory turbo engine . So many things can go wrong even if you upgrade a really good condition N/A Barra but it is possible I believe.

Either way the crew here would point you in the right direction here ..

Hey folks, another newbie.
I bleed blue and current wheels is a 2004 BA wagon, I made a bet with the owner seven years ago that one day I would own the car, being his first car said No he won't ever sell it.
Seven years later it is in my garage, he honoured the bet.🤣🤣

Hi everyone, New here my name is Adam I'm from Mackay in Queensland. I've had quiet a few fords over time my favorite being my 85 XF I bought when I was 17 and starting my Mechanical apprenticeship, Subsequently spending over 15k on it over three years and two engine rebuilds. Currently I have removed the engine, gearbox and complete wiring out of a 94 ED that my father in law had sitting in his paddock. I plan to rebuild the engine and gearbox and hopefully figure out a way to use as little of the factory wiring as possible to transplant it into something else.

Cheers Adam
