Default Did I get ripped on monroeGt's?

hi everyone, I tried to gather prices before setting out today, I needed new shocks as the factory originals after 200,000k's don't really work all that well (who'd have thought, ey)..

Well, I end up finding some and I paid $129 each, These were for the front, If I did get nubbed, they are still in the box, is there some kind of amazing lie I can use to get my cash back or just take it on the chin and suck up those tears before next semester ? modding right before uni starts is not a wise decision, but many can do it.
