Show Address has Changed

due to problems arising with council and the park being out of our control we had prior to last week, we have moved the Fords In The Park

Fords In The Park is now at DARVALL PARK, CHATHAM RD DENISTONE.

see map below

there will be a club member handing out directions to Darvall park and directional signs at ryde park.

from ryde park turn right onto Victoria Rd (at brad garlick ford) and follow victoria rd until you go under the rail bridge.

The second set of lights AFTER the bridge turn right and follow the road past the shop and around the dog leg (with traffic islands in the corners).

Coming from parramatta and west? take the left at the First set of lights past the shell servo/McDonalds.

if you need anymore info please call matt on 0439 331 163 or email at ftfshow2009@hotmail.com

cheers and we'll see you at Fords In The Park.

Default Fords In The Park rained out

as the title states, Fords In The Park has been rained out.

with all the rain we've had over the weekend in Sydney, Darvall park has been declared a no go zone.

so with that in mind, we have postponed the show.

Fords In The Park will now be on Sunday the 22nd of March 2009 at Darvall Park, Chatham Rd Denistone (next to the bowling club)

see attached map.

Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience cuased and hope to see you at Fords In The Park.

Yeh come on, we don't bite. And contrary to what some people may think we are actually nice people :

All proceeds going to a worthy cause " The Childrens Hospital at Westmead"

Also plenty of nice items to be auctioned off on the day.

*Including Major services supplied by both Brad Garlick ford and BTA Motorsports.

*V8 supercar merchandise and memorabilia.
*Even a very rare Jamie Whincup 2008 V8 supercar champion framed poster 1 of only 50 in existence.
*car car products ( and we can never get enough of those)

We are aiming this at a family day so bring the whole family along there will be plenty to keep the kids amused.

im not in for this one, they couldnt have picked a worse date!!! first weekend of the V8 supercars..... why have it on the same weekend?????
I know everyone doesnt watch the supercars, but surely other car shows and V8 supercar weekends, would be weekends to avoid to get more entrants and more spectators!!!

I was tentatively planning to attend this to support the club, but as of this morning I can't.
I'm afraid the car is temporarily marooned in the garage after the excavator dug up the last part of the drive in preparation for concreting. :
Supposedly (read: maybe) being concreted on Saturday. But assuming it's done I still won't be able to drive on it Sunday :

Sorry guys.

I hope there's a few more cars come out of the wood work to attend.

It comes down to the fact it was unfortunate the event had to be postponed from the original date.....Murphy's Law, we've all had a good dose of that at one point.

I was really hoping to attend, but my reasons are explained in an earlier post as to why I can't.

I do hope the show is a huge success for all involved, and I look forward to attending future events.

As with any weekend there are always a number of activites people can attend. Neither person, enthusiast or club is more or less of, for making a choice that they are happy with.
There are a number of events on this date, an unfortunate clash and it's up to each person as to what they want to do.

For those at the show have a great time and hope you raise some needed funds for Westmead. I'm not a car show person, but I will come down and have a looksee and catch up with everyone.

Those at clipsal or other events - enjoy it and have a great day as well.

Cheers

Generally a very good day to be out in the sun, enjoy and catch up with familiar faces. We bagged " Best Original" trophy for the Fairlane. I think we also have a possible membership applicant who drives a nice T2 TS50. Not bad at all.

Hey Ramon congratulations on the win. I am so annoyed that I never got myself motivated enough to get out there to have a look around.

I had to do my duties around the house and then I had troubles tying to get my A$$ off the lounge.
