You don't have like the Stinger.
But the way I look at it, we need Kia to succeed if we ever want to see any action from the other manufactures in this segment ever again.

I am still surprised no one has responded to the Mustang. Yes I am calling you out Dodge.

Worried about what ? Another RWD family performance sedan ? We should embrace it.

When i ask should we be worried, i talk about has the game moved on in a way to make our garage less special.

Sort of like playing an old sega mega drive (and thinking its awesome) when the playstation 4 pro is what everyone else is enjoying.

Then the real question you are asking is... Should we be worried about progress?

The world does not stand still... Change is inevitable.

So you would rather be playing your Sega, with posters of 80's Falcons on the wall?

despite the love & Loyalty both are not made anymore, so today you can get a PS4 with a poster of a Stinger on the wall.

Well that may be correct imo because mainstream manufacturers have for a little while been bringing out/releasing vehicle's that once upon a time were considered very special in some way but today are maybe seen as dime a dozen, seen on every street corner. Thats progress for you lol!

cheers, Maka

If it worries you sell your falcons and replace them with modern kia's i'm sure all the neighbours will flock to your garage to congratulate you and you will feel much better about yourself. That is untill kia stinger 2.0 comes out with 5 more kw and a bigger touch screen, then I guess the game will have moved on again

Most of us enjoy driving a nice car. Sure progress and change is inevitable.

But could you imagine buying the biggest stick VT series 1 hsv GTS when they were 220kw in 1999 $75k car and then a few months later the base vt series 2 commodore executive came with the 225kw ls1 engine for $36000. Less than half the price and much better engine. Vt series 1 GTS owners were extremely embarrassed.

Kia is a brand many of us scoffed at for many years but they now make a car to properly show many of our prized possessions (our old V8s) a clean pair of heels.

Before anyone knocks Kia Motors, keep in mind that Ford owned and had a 9% stake in Kia before they sold their shares in the company.

Also Kia made cars for Ford that were sold in Australia before Kia cars were sold in Australia under their own brand name.

Also, Kia Motors is 33% owned today by Hyundai and is somewhat a joint venture between the two Korean manufacturers.

So chances are someone you know, drove a Ford manufactured by Kia years ago.

Your Boss 260 Turbo should go and sound better! Back in the day the 5.4s were low 12' dipping into the 11's with some mods, which were very quick and IMO the best sounding out of all!

If you want to break a vehicle give it to the HWP for testing.
Vic Pol went for the turbo diesel Beemers due to the entire product and service package that was offered.

HWP work is often brutal on their livery and any weakness will be surely exposed.

If anyone has a friend in the QLD HWP with the Stinger in their fleet, perhaps give them a call and see what they think of them.

Personally I think they are great looking car.

Don't understand the question "should we be worried".
Like what for.
It is what it is.
Be happy with what you have OR if your type that this worries you sell up and buy the latest and greatest.
There will always be the next best thing.
Seriously silly thread.

Is there a four banger model of the stinger? I thought it was a four cylinder. But only looked at the engine cover. Didn't pay it much attention.

Yeah I think there is a four cylinder turbo,,and the v6 turbo.

Buying a four cylinder one would be even worse than a four cylinder mustang Imo.
