Default aux input cable question

Just a quick (dumb?) question, did a search and couldn't find the info i was after..

I'm after the cable to hook up an ipod/mp3 to the factory stereo, most people on here seem to recommend a boosted cable, i'm looking on your website, you seem to have two available.

The "auxilary audio booster kit" which looks like the genuine ford one and the "ASL auxilary line conditioner". I'm guessing they both do the same thing, just the ASL one is better, yeah?? Does the ASL one come with the retractable 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and everything i need to install it like the ford one??

It's all a bit confusing to me, too many options on your website for a dunce like me..

Thanks guys.
