Has any one replaced a starter motor on an ls focus with the duratec 2.0? My missus car has just comeback with diagnosis of crook starter motor. It took me 3 hours just to remove the old one im hoping the new one will fall back in any tips to speed up the process?

Believe it or not, remove the intake manifold. What might be an hour of work there, gives you the best access to the starter motor. 5 minute changeover of the starter.
Just look at all that room |

Wow that is amazing funny thing is they don't mention doing that in the workshop manual.

Well i got the new starter motor in the same way i got it out tedious but got there in the end it started straight away proof in the pudding will be tomorrow morning when its cold and my missus has to go to work.
