Body is rough as guts, countless oil leaks and the transmission although recoed 30,000km ago, is dead. Rear tyres are bald and receipt for tyres 10,000km ago so I’m guessing the blokes kids were doing burnouts in it. It is a shame.

100% mate, sandstorm is such an epic colour, especially when detailed. So many of these nice lanes are destined for the scrap heap. The elderly that bought them new have driven them to death and it simply isn’t worth fixing them with multiple issues. This is a one owner car and looking at receipts they’ve spent a lot on it in the last 5 years. He said it was a lovely car until his kids started using it 3 years ago.

Bringing my sportsman back was a decent effort. Me and my mate worked out what it would have cost if I got a mechanic to do all the work that’s been done. $8000 just in labour.

LWB have never been cars that fetch decent money, I think I’d be lucky to get 6-7k for my sportsman. It’s why so many will see the scrap heap. I worked out I’ve parted 5 in two years now, imagine how many the wreckers are parting or simply scrapping.

Would be interested in the front door cards and handles. Plus the plastic fixing point on the door. Need to freight them to Karratha WA. Pity some nice cars being wrecked but at least you get the chance to get them no wreckers within 1000km of me and au's like rocking horse bollics up hear not many still around

Hey mate, I think shipping would be too expensive and hard due to the size.

Sorry for the delayed reply

Hey mate, the mirror is a memory mirror so they fetch good money but only suit LTD, Sportsman and 75th Anniversary cars. The back door grab handle goes with the door cards.

Thanks for the response Fordomatic. I am interested.

is it a woodgrain version like the one seen in the photo here? If so can you share a photo so I can see it's condition please?

I am also interested in the rear console vent (with light) and the centre dash LCDs and clock.

Hey mate, will see if I can get some pics tonight of the woodgrain momo. I have a rear console vent with light.

Centre dash climate controls are hit and miss. I'd recommend getting one refurbished. Even if you buy a used one that works, it won't take long before it starts dropping out.

Thanks mate, good advice.

Looking to fit out what was my dad's 2000 AU LTD (he passed away last year). As you can see from the photo's the wheel is pretty scuffed and the rear vent and console lid is missing. I managed to find a console lid recently.

My steering wheel and interior is grey but I am thinking a black/woodgrain wheel will still look good.
