Default Knocking noise-when idling-2013 Zetec TDCi

Hi .. Intermittent concern. there is a knocking noise/thud thud thud noise, heard when I come to idle at signals/end of drive. This tends to occur when I drive a bit quickly and there are multiple occasions of braking quicker. As soon as I hear this noise when idling, I accelerate slowly and don't really rev too much. The noise disappears in sometime after I drive this way.
If I am at the end of my drive, I switch off the car and in about 5 mins, I restart the car and the noise is gone. However, if I restart the car within a minute or so, the noise can still be heard. What could be making this noise? Showed this to Ford Dealers and they couldn't replicate it nor could they find anything wrong. Help please..
