Default Raising a Mondeo? Lift kit?

Has anybody attempted this?

I have recently moved to a rural lifestyle block that has a steep (and quite rough) gravel driveway. I'm finding the Mondeo is dragging her bum a little on some of the rougher patches.

I'm planning on upgrading my wifes car to a small SUV such as a Rav4 but I would like to continue on with the Mondeo. (I commute 240km each day so a large comfortable economical car is essential)

I spotted these https://www.spaccer.com/en_AU/makes-...mondeo-iv.html online and wondered if anybody has attempted this? Another 24mm ground clearance would be awesome.

Not sure Bundy, but we looked at a property recently, that if we went ahead with, would result in the sale of the Mondeo.
The lower ride height, and low profile tyres of the Titanium just wouldn't cope!
I'll follow this one with interest.

It's certainly different bundy, for what it's worth and I know my Saloon is different to your Wagon but here's a crop of my rear spring (before the upgrade) showing it's setup. I do recall that it's positioned in a hole but not bolted in place which is fine.

I'm wondering if it'd be easier to fit a teflon block or something similar. The only path that I considered were airbags fitted to give a bit of lift. I reckon I'd go the airbags simply because they're adjustable to your load. That or if your springs are tired and a tad saggy an upgrade of those to a better ride height might be on the books. (or coil overs pending on legality). Food for thought.

Our Zetec bumper is scored from someone's hilly gravel driveway.
Mondeo is too low for Australia.
Watch out for the temperature sensor from the DPF and the handbrake cables.
I guess you considered fixing the driveway.
I'd be payibng for a driveway before letting my Mondy go!

It's funny you say that, I'm about to measure up my folks driveway to dyna bolt some alloy plates on the leading edge cause my folks MD can clip the curb when slowly backing off the driveway or driving up to it on two of their suspension settings (comfort/normal), sport is just enough to not touch the lip either way.

I had to replace the middle sensor on the DPF a few months ago courtesy of a roo carcass. Cable tied the leads up as high as I could to try to protect them.

The driveway is almost a kilometre long and rises then drops approx 100m in altitude over that distance. Most of it is OK but there is a section where the base rock is showing through and needs to be topdressed.

Thats my task for next week. A truck load of roadbase and a couple of days on my old grey Fergie with a grader blade to tidy up the bad bits.

At least you don't have so many traffic lights.
I don't have any particular experience with raising or lowering cars.
I'd be concerned about the universal joints and boots working at a different angle.
Not sure if that's an issue.
Driveways are another subject, mine's fairly gouged ...

Raising the vehicle would upset the wheel camber, resulting in premature tyre wear. The camber would need to adjusted to compensate (hopefully you can). The wheel is no longer standing upright, with +/- 1 or 2 degrees of camber.
Same camber problem occurs when lowering a car, albeit in the other direction.
