Default Chips..unichip..powerchip For AU Ute

Hey dudes..

i was just wondering for my 01 AU 5speed Ute that is Pet/Gas.. wat sort of chip i should get... im looking for a chip which will give me better performance.. a chip thats ford friendly.. and that will take into consideration for my Pet/Gas.

Powerchip quoted me $990 for their chip that they "rekon" is best suited for my car over any other chip... because they use different chips between gas, petrol or duel fuel..

I dont know much about unichip but alot of Ford cars on this website seem to have them over any other make of chips so im guessing their more Ford Friendly.

Also im wondering if these chips take out the lousy 180km/h speed limiter?
..and if they dont, wat and how do you take the speed limiter out and wat are the costs?

Cheers guys.

Unichip can run two ign advance curves one for ULP one for LPG. call and ask them about it.

Will cost $1500 to supply and fit and tune for dual fuel though so not cheap.

It won't get rid of your speed limiter either but I think thats a good thing.

180kmh is more than enough.

mesa running the uni chip too (AUII XR6 VCT)....remember its so named because the one chip can be programmed or tuned to nearly any car, regardless of fuel.

chiptorque can remove the speed limiter.
unichip would be the best in that it can be setup for both fuels, optimising both

My wagons petrol only.

I never believed in dual fuel as the economy of LPG is based on a stroke of the pen from the govt.

It is better for the environment but worse for engine longevity and performance so I never considered it.
