Paul

From your discussions with Rod, is it looking more on the "possible" side of cracking the code ......or leaning toward not being able to crack the code?? I remember something re Bosch owing the rights to the Mondeo edit but not sure ?? Can anyone shed any light on this issue ?

Sounds like you are using a brute force type of method! That could take some time but hey, has to be done.

Well, not looking good for the Herrods option I'm afraid. Rob seems way to busy at the moment to resume work on the Mondeo, no doubt the market for the Coyote V8 and the ZF auto are much bigger priorities for him, no surprise there............
so, I have another option on the go. (I've ordered a Bluefin btw, but that’s another story) I'm over in the US for 2 weeks in Oct and while I'm away my XR5 is going into the workshop, my tuner has sourced a devise that CAN read the ECU, the info will than be sent to some propeller head in Europe to be 'deciphered' and sent back, hopefully before I get back. Fingers crossed for a custom tuning solution before xmas …

No progress, downloaded the tune but no progress re deciphering the code as yet, not looking good either. Needs a huge amount of time invested and the market here is just not big enough. Still think Herrods is our best hope but Rob is clearly to busy with bigger (more profitable) projects.

The bluefin is a worthwhile improvement, it does liven things up a bit and pretty good value for money.

Code Red also have a few options, they are a little more hard core though and their stuff 'seems' pretty expensive.
