Default Stereo Head Unit

Hi guys, could anyone tell me if it is possible to put the later model Ford Sony Stereo into a 2009 Fiesta WS poverty pack that only came with the basic unit? And direct me to any posts on how it was done? Need to replace the unit in my Daughter's car as it's U/S. TIA
