Default Cancer risk from diesel fumes

An interesting article from ABC mentioning diesel particulate emissions being carcinogenic.

There's a push in Europe away from diesel engines, some cities are proposing bans of diesel passenger vehicles in the future. Watch this space.

Nothing new here, World Health Organisation moved diesel fumes from the probable to proven category for known carcinogens about 5 years ago (2012 ish)

I guess there is a price to pay for great fuel economy (for those that travel 100's of kms between towns in this vast country...)

Agreed. There's a lack of action from the government, then again, would you expect anything less from them? This is the same government refusing to acknowledge glyphosate as a carcinogen as declared by WHO.
