Salutations
Working hard on my complete ignorance, and I realise this is probably not just mondeo's - we're heading to the Victorian Alps soon with our Mondeo TDCI (we're from the rather warmer climates of Perth). To my understanding - I'll need alpine diesel. Anything else? I think maybe anti-freeze on the radiator - can I do this myself? Not wanting to damage my precious Mondeo. Thanks Erax |

you don't need to do anything, not cold enough. You car already has coolant which won't freeze above about -18, you won't see anything much colder than -2 or 3

We see those temperatures through winter here in Central Highlands of Vic. There is no alpine diesel here!

The weather report when the Minister was missing talked about -10 up on the mountain. Best bet would be to fuel up locally, I'm pretty sure they do have an alpine/winter mix in the area.

You might want to think about snow chains if travelling above the snow line, although not sure if there would still be any left this time of year .
