Default Forums going down??

Hey guys.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this, but are you guys having server problems at all? I had a nice timeout last night for about 15 minutes or so where I couldn't get on.

I'm not aware of any specific issues at the server end.

The network that resides between members and it is somewhat outside of our control unfortunately.

Was having issues last night, linked to it in a chat room I'm a regular in and none of the other guys there were able to get to the Ford Forums either (I thought it was just my dodgy connection).

Been having issues with the Ford Forums again tonight, they seem a bit slow and I'm getting the odd timeout.

Well here i was thinking as we had no phone on Saturday due to that wet stuff that occasionall falls out of the sky, that the problems with this site were related to faulty phone lines.

So I had lots of connection problems last night and earlier tonight....nice to know the Telstra shares arnt at fault.

It would appear that my earlier assertion was premature.

There are issues with the database handling the load at peak times, Russ and I made some changes a few days back to remove db errors that people were getting at peak times which was successful, but it appears we still need to tweak the settings for when 600+ members are connected at once.

The work is continuing, but we only get one peak time a day to test a new config. It will be sorted and hopefully very soon. Please bear with us.

I've spoken to the service department and they have told me that "they all do it", and that the problem is "within tolerances for this particular model".

Therefore we won't be servicing the server.

Nah cos the server was down it wasn't playing, instead I got transferred through 14 different departments. Glad I didnt hear that message though, Minge and Spooly's karaoke demo tape can get a bit rattling once you hear it more than twice :togo:

What, 14 departments before you got through to India? That’s pretty slack.
