Default E-Series 5L V8 Badge Re-design

Hi all,

So I was sick of the crappy faded/scratched badges on my NL and decided to use some downtime at work to jazz them up a little. I scanned a spare badge into the computer then started playing around with the design. (sorry for the image quality, took a photo of the screen)

The badge is identical in size for the wording and design, only the black contour is different. I measured everything with calipers to make sure, then went ahead with changing the colours and style. Sorry for taking the liberty of making it GT-351 colours but I couldn't resist! The "custom" was traced from an image of some Ford custom badges, not sure of the year or what model they are off, I just liked the design.

And here is the finished product:

Once again, sorry for the poor quality of the picture and the dirtiness of the car, I was in a bit of a rush! Anyway, for me this has achieved two things: Firstly, I now have a unique set of custom decals and secondly I no longer have to worry about dirt build-up around and in between the badge.

Cheers,

Smithy

They look very cool.

Would you be able to do other colours and without "Custom"?

Some of the guys in the club might be interested.

Certainly can, I work for a sign company so I can tweak the design any way you require, any colour any size!

Cheers

The carbon fibre was a trial run, we do car wraps and I wanted to see how hard it would be to carbon fiber wrap a complicated shape like a mirror. It looked good for a couple of days, but I'm having trouble with it lifting so I am going to remove it and just spray the mirrors, I'm thinking of going gloss black. Also this particular wrap is a texture matt finish so not good for the amount of bug guts that get splattered across it!

Cheers,
