Yes they do, but for the old system and as it has been for some time and at this point in time, the only way to update is to replace the SD card with a updated version from Whereis as per below as they were the map supplier at the time.

GTLEGEND, is there a way to check the map version on-screen in SYNC2? It's nice to know that Ford are going to update maps free of charge but it would also be nice to be able to verify that such a change has actually occurred.

Yes, select the settings button on the bottom of screen (the right button of the 3), then on lhs pick help, then system at top of options in middle screen. It is the bottom item shows map level, K1, K2 or K3.

Not sure if it changes automatically, but it may need a master reset from the menu to clear and update the system...

Mine shows K1.

I'm not sure what this means or how I can get it to K3. There is a button to update software, but haven't touched it as I'm not sure what it does.

Dealer only update to you SD card. They will have to replace yours with a writable one, it is free under the program when you have your car serviced at Ford dealer, otherwise I think about $100.

Try driving around Brompton, Mawson Lakes or Mount Barker. Cheers.

No. My understanding is it only applies to SYNC 2 fitted vehicles.
