So according to the information I received from the Ford Dealer:

Unconfirmed

- Right hand indicator stalks across the range
- Active Grille Shutters across the range
- Ford ECO mode across the range
- New 16” wheel cover design for Ambiente
- Body coloured door handles for Ambiente
- Short overhead console for sunglasses (now on Ambiente & Trend)
- Rear View Camera on Sport and Titanium
- Mini spare wheel on Titanium
- Full leather trim on Titanium
- Deletion of lumbar support on Trend
- Deletion of leather gear stick on Trend
- Deletion of standard door scruff plates on Sport & Titanium
- Deletion of heated front seats on the Titanium
- Deletion of full-size spare on Titanium
- Addition of Active City Stop to the Sports Executive Pack on Titanium

Confirmed

- Ford SYNC across the range
- Series badge on rear of vehicle (as seen on the Titanium pictures posted)
- New 17” allow wheels on Sport (as seen on the ‘S’ model Thai-Built Focus)
- Body Coloured Styling Kit (as seen on the ‘S’ model and Titanium)

The only other thing is the deletion of the DTRL (Daytime Running Lamps) on the Titanium, which to me, still appear on the car.

The model range will also decrease:

- No more Sport sedan model (only comes in hatch with the LW MKII)
- No more 2.0L TDCI diesel Titanium sedan

The rest of the range remains untouched. Making it 14 cars in the line-up, not 17.

Colours will now be:

- Midnight Sky
- Panther Black
- Ignot Silver
- Lunar Sky
- Winning Blue
- Candy Red
- Frozen White

I’ve seen all this on the official Ford Bulletin to dealers, which a dealer in Brisbane showed me, so I took photos when she wasn’t looking! Some facts were backed up by my local dealer (probably to get me to buy my Titanium!).

Hope this helps guys!

Danny would your dealer know if SYNC and reverse cam can be added to our German builds? It's still early I know.
Thanks for the detailed info mate.

Did ask the question James, but they couldn't confirm. I'd imagine the camera should be fine, as it comes standard with the Titanium X C-Max (MPV based on the Focus in Europe) with the same audio setup. The big question here would be the resolution and colours on the LCD screen used in our Focus models.

As for SYNC, you’d imagine it’d be a program to input to replace the existing system. Surely Ford put enough power into the system running it that is could handle SYNC, as in Europe they’ve promoted SYNC since the cars launch, saying available 2012?

I’d definitely like SYNC. When the dealer gets some LW MKII models in, will have to enquire. Fingers crossed!

So would we expect to see any change in the RRP of an ambient which is about $19k drive away?

I really wish we had the estate/wagon here :(

If that's the case, Ford have lost me as a potential buyer.

I'm pretty much set on a White Titanium Diesel Sedan. I don't like the hatchback.

Pretty silly of them to restrict the models like that.

It’s what Ford are calling a ‘simplicity strategy’ to simply the models. Guess they didn’t sell many, so they’ve figured it’s not worth having available. You may still be able to get a German built model, as there are plenty of the Titanium sedans about!

Brochure released July 1st with RRP. The LW MKII launches on the 1st of August, dealer said late July / early August for the first models to arrive!

I'm hoping to see a lot more of the Focus around, when production shifts to Thailand! It's honestly a great car that packed with amazing features.
I've done over 7000km's and I'm still in love with mine.

I bet it will be like the WT Fiesta from the WS, fix the aircon, chuck in more features, then the quality of materials inside the car drops, wheel and tyre changes and other odds and ends.

Ok, so I got off my lazy behind and took some screen shots from my iPhone of the pictures of the dealer issued statement! Thanks anonymous Brisbane Ford Dealer ;-)

Can't upload the others, it won't let me. But one sheet is a summary, the other lists the colours and a run down of City Safe. These are the important two anyway!

I wish the new one has them.
The Mk2 ASEAN Focus (built in the Philippines) shares the same console/armrest design as the Chinese Mk2 Focus that has rear a/c vents.

The new Mk3 Focus in China has no rear a/c vents, I wonder if it will be the same for the new ASEAN/Thai Mk3 Focus.

I’d go the German one mate. Just for the build quality. Most are expecting the Thai model should be built pretty much the same, but the German model is tried and proven. However Ford SYNC should be absolutely awesome, and that alone could be worth your wait. Keep in mind the Thai model will be here August, so it may be a while before you get one is all!

Nothing mentioned in the release which you’d definitely think they’d put in there. So I’m guessing no mate.

Does the Focus need them? The cabin is small enough and the A/C good enough to cool down very fast. How often do you have rear passengers?

The aircon is not that good just adequate in my view, so hopefully coming from tropical location the specs might be a bit better in that area.
May be give a miss to the heated seats in exchange for cooling performance

The air con in my WP Fiesta was dismal. In the WS Fiesta, acceptable and improved as the kilometres accumulated. In the LW Focus it’s fantastic. While it’s only tested it in a few days over 30 degrees on the coast, it handled them beautifully. Chuck the full air con on for five minutes, and then let it be after that. Seriously, I’d say it’s better than the work FG Falcon UTE I drive. Does it need rear vents, I don’t believe so because it seriously gets pretty cold quickly!

Default Sync in 2012 Thai Built Focus

Some details of Sync in Thai built Focus

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/windows-embe...to-taiwan.aspx
Ford Makes Its Computex Debut and Unveils Microsoft-powered SYNC to Taiwan

http://i1.social.s-msft.com/profile/...ded&size=large WindowsEmbedded WindowsEmbedded
MSFT
Posted By Chris Elliott
Senior Marketing Communications Manager
Walk around Computex and quickly you’ll see that all the usual tech players are there: Intel, Asus, Samsung and of course Microsoft, just to name a few. But dig a little deeper and you’ll see that one well-known global brand is making its debut this year at the world’s second largest technology tradeshow. That brand: Ford Motor Company.
What in the Taiwan is Ford doing at Computex? The same thing it has done at other major technology shows such as CES and Mobile World Congress, proving to the world that the automobile is a consumer electronic device — it’s just a really big one. Oh, and it can go zero-to-100 kilometers-per-hour in less than 7 seconds.
With Microsoft as its co-pilot, Ford made several news announcements at Computex including bringing its award-winning Ford SYNC system to Taiwan in the new Ford Focus. This will enable Ford customers in Taiwan to make phone calls or play their favorite music using Mandarin voice commands via SYNC, powered by Microsoft.

Taiwan is just the latest Asian market to get the good news that SYNC is coming to town. Ford has already announced SYNC will launch across Europe and Asia later this year. Based on Microsoft’s Windows Embedded Automotive software platform, Ford SYNC is now installed in more than 4 million Ford vehicles, and the automaker projects an additional 9 million vehicles will be equipped with SYNC by 2015. That’s a lot of people around the globe using their voice to call mom, find the nearest coffee shop, or play their favorite song. Right now, I’m calling for the track “Westward Bound” from one of my new, favorite bands, Ha Ha Tonka.

Microsoft couldn’t be more excited about its partnership with Ford. Together, they’re enabling consumers around the world to use their own voice to access their own mobile phone and MP3 players. This means they can keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. And because it’s built on the Windows Embedded Automotive software platform, consumers can also enjoy the peace of mind knowing their in-car technology won’t get old. Software equals updatable.
