G'Day guys.

Im most likely going to place an order to get custom wheels made for my XR5 mondeo.

That means my stock rims MAY be up for grabs (minus rubber).

Just seeing if anyone would be interested in buying the XR5 wheels off me so I can cover some of the cost for the custom wheels?

I would be looking at $1000 for the set of 4 wheels (minus rubber).

All wheels are genuine, and in 100% perfect condition. No scratches, no marks what so ever. Would make a nice addition to a zetec or tdci.

I would also be willing to split them up for $250 each, as spares for current XR5 owners on the guarantee all 4 wheels are sold. IE: 4 buyers all put their hands up.

Anyway post up here if anyone is keen, Im in the final stages with the wheel manufacturer.

The wheels would take anywhere up to 5 weeks to deliver after the order is finalised, so buyers would have to be patient.

Anyone know if you can fit a full sized spare, where the space saver is?

Two reasons:
1. Interested in a spare RIM that LRSedan has up for sale
2. May be driving to the northwest of WA and do not feel overly comfortable going without a real spare tyre. Up to 600km between service stations and not gurantee they are going to stock the 225/40 R18 (I think that is what they are) in case of a blow out.

Apparently you can with some spacers fitted to raise the floor area over the spare wheel well. Some people have stated that the spacers were under their rear seats, mine didn't have any.

My deposit on my new wheels as been paid, so its a done deal. These wheels are definately up for grabs. Downside to selling these wheels, it only covers the deposit! lol

If you are from Perth then I would be happy to split the cost and I wouldnt think Frika would mind either if he is still buying a wheel. I am interested and awaiting LR's approval to sell the seperatley.

Separate won't be a problem if we get 4 definates.

Shipping won't be a problem to WA.

You guys can either organise your own courier to pick them up at my place (that way you know the exact cost), or I can send them over and you'll find out the cost after they are sent.

I've had wheels shipped to myself from melbourne at a cost of $80 for the 4, so to WA I would say around $90 - $100 for the set of 4...

If you are all still keen someone just let me know and I'll reserve you guys as the "first in best dressed". Just send me a PM with everyones user names and a contact email or phone number.

Once my new rims arrive (4 - 5 weeks) I'll let you know we are ready to go.

Mondeoxr5 - Probably best to get them to Perth first and then get them up to you in the North West. I am figuring that you will know people coming to Perth regulalry who may be willing to pick up the rim and take it back for you.
Other option is to get them to Perth and then freight it up to Karratha that way.

Other guys: Might be best to get them all shipped to one address to save on postage, splitting the cost and then seperating out.

Mine either - I just checked.
However, it doesn't look that difficult to build some spacers to raise the floor area. Mostly a flat boot.

Guys, my wheels as you know were scheduled to arrive 29th - 3rd.

They weren't ready on time, they were still in paint / powder.
