Default Key fob doesnt work

Hi

borrowing a work car, and the key fob has stopped working (lock, unlock, boot)... I have replaced the battery, but still doesnt work!

Any ideas ?

I have read sooo many different ways of re-programing. I tried one that said turn key from position 0 to II 10 times then pres a fob button.... didnt work!

what is the correct way to reprogram if you think that will work ?

it is a late model diesel mondao, no older than 2 years

Thanks..
