Default Sussex Inlet 4 Day Weekend Trip May 2-5

Hello All,
We are currently putting together a trip away down the South Coast for the 1st weekend in May.

Departing Sydney Friday 2/5 around 10 am from Uncle Leo's (down from the Cross Roads) to arrive at Sussex Inlet around lunch time.

We have organised accomodation at Alonga Waterfront Cottages.
http://www.alongacottages.com.au
Cottages have available, boat, canoe, push bike, fishing gear hire etc or you can enjoy the park land on the river front and lap up the view and fresh air.
The beaches are only a short 5 minute drive for those who want to go for a quick cruise around.
The local shopping centre is only a short 5 minute walk.
The RSL Club is a 10 minute walk there and a 15 minute walk back. I know from experience

Currently negotating with the local "Kladis Winery" for a tour and a BBQ or Baked lunch along with tour of the Winery on either the Sat or Sun.
Also looking at mini bus to run us from the Cottages to Winery & return so that a the local produce can be sampled and no worries about driving back.
http://www.kladisestatewines.com.au

Also looking at another activity to cover the vacant day.
Boat cruise etc.

Return Monday 5/2 leaving Sussex Inlet around 10 am heading back through Kangaroo Valley (brief stop over no doubt to cool some brakes LOL) then up to the expressway heading back to Sydney.

Cottage prices
2 bedroom @$90 per night
3 bedroom @$110 per night
4 bedroom @$140 per night

Winery Tour & Lunch $ 25 per person
Bus to Winery - subject to numbers attending.

If you feel like coming along for a relaxing trip away please contact

Want some good driving fun on the way down? Take the "Swamp Rd" Jamberoo exit just north of the Kiama bypass. Only about 5 or 10k but damn its a fun road. Avoid going through Berry on the way down, instead turn left at Gerringong, much less traffic, although Friday lunch time shouldnt be too bad and unless you want one of the best pies in the world or a doughnut at Berry (my home town). At the very least, go down the main street of Kiama on the way down, my window of my office looks over the main street, might give me something to look at for a change seeing some decent cars go past.
Top spot down sussex way, hope you all enjoy the trip.
Paul

Good weekend away guys.
Thanks for coming along and making a four day laugh fest out of it. (with a few ales thrown in for good measure )
A little hiccup with the accomodation but overall a great time.
By the feedback I'm getting from some members we need to do this sort of event more often.
Thanks again.
See you soon.

Yeah I have the photo your speaking about on my phone but not sure how to get it on to a computer. Also a bit worried about the person photographed he may not like it to much. May have to wit till he leaves the country but I am open to bribes to delete the photo,
Can't wait for the next weekrnd away though. Lock your doors.
