Default Can someone in Melb. check out a car for me?

Was wondering if anyone in melbourne can go have a look at this stang for me? Have a look at the frame rails/floor pans etc for me.... paint condition, how the motor is, what diff is in it etc.

Preferably someone that knows a bit about mustangs, been around em a bit..

I was beginning to think no-one on here lived in melbourne.....

not asking for anyone to give me a warranty on the car or anything, just to let me know whether it's worth flying down to inspect personally... then drive home if it is what i want....

This is my first post so bare with me rayman. That mustang im 99% sure its the one they were trying to sell in Dandenong a while ago. Its a 6cyl code and the body was fairly ordinary b4 the paint job (had rust). Still has the standard diff. They wanted 16k b4 the clean up, but a cheap mustang if your not into the codes.

Thanks for the offer CH, lemme know how much you want to go look at it for me. Can you take some digi pics of it for me? The guy selling it is useless.

Sounds like coburg is a bit out of the way for most people... I spoke to the guy selling it today, he's not very helpful with info and obviously doesn't know much about stangs.

He could tell me it's a 51 windsor, has disk brakes up front, and drums out back, and has some 'surface rust' around the back window chrome surround.

I wanna know the condition of the underbody, what the conversions like (ie: tight steering, or sloppy), if the motor has work done to it (cam, extractors, manifold type etc), lsd? Wheel diameter/size, and if you can see if there's new bushes etc been fitted recently.

I'm pretty keen on this one, hard to find something i'm gunna be happy with, without spending a fortune.

thanks for the heads up CW... you think it's still got the 4 lug diff in it?? The guy didn't mention that....

You'd be my man to go look at it... _2: Sounds like you know more than the average mustang admirer.... I know enough to not get scammed.. i've had a 66 coupe before... Your car looks mad.... VERY NICE

Who had it for sale before?

I can send RACV to check it out for $170, but they'll pick the shit out of it because it's an old car... i'd rather get someone thats been around ponies to check it for me...

You are never going to belive this. I just had a good look at the photos and I have already looked at this car with a freind who dose restos on theses things and it was a not a good car. The under side is very rough and the conversion was not the best (It had the wonders inthe front end) If you are after a car that is fair this is not the one for you mate sorry.

It's cheap for a reason Theres a silver 66 forsale in Dandenong, Vic for $35,000. I didn't bother to look to hard as I'm impartial to 69 Fastback's. My uncles had his gloss black one for around 10 years now and it still makes me drool. He used to use it as a daily driver.

I must admit when i saw it for the first time i wasnt impressed. It was 4 sale along time. Dont rush into buying one because every one you look at is different to the next and one will come up at the right price. I'd be happy to look at any you think you might be interested in, in melbourne.

whats in bris for sale dodge? I seen a silver 68 coupe on the northside for $20 LHD....

I'd prefer RHD in a coupe.. I'll settle for LHD if its a fastback or ragtop... to keep the cost down a little....

If anyone see's anything tidy at a reasonable price please let me know....
