Twin piston 355mm brake kit

From $1500 PBR2P355kit front only kit. AU11 AU111 BA BF and FG
We have re introduced a brake kit we did some time ago using the PBR Performance twin piston caliper and the Brembo size 355mm x 32mm disc rotor. This kit has been fitted to numerous cars over the years and forum members.
The kit consists of a PBR Performance caliper in red with PBR performance brake pads along with braided lines , brackets and DBA T3 rotors for the price of $1500. We have options to change pads and rotors to make it a little cheaper or make it dearer if genuine rotors or 2 piece rotors are needed. This kit will need 18" wheels atleast but should fit behind most factory wheels (we just haven't tried everyone yet). We only have 5 front kits this time and we had the brackets water cut and are admittedly a little rough to how i would have liked them but the next batch will be back to being made cnc and a lot neater.
The rear 328mm PBR upgrade like the FPV or Terri's have is also available in various forms.
Pictures on our facebok page. Will upload here soon.

Could this be an option for those with 6/4 brembos to fit (say) an FG XR8 18" rim to the front, keeping the brembo 355mm discs and using these calipers? If so, how much just for the calipers, pads, brackets and braided lines to suit?

Re: Twin piston 355mm brake kit

I think that's the general idea. Might not have the outright stopping power of Brembos but WOULD have the advantage of much improved fade resistance and less warping (as per Brembos) because it's a large and good quality disc. And the standard Flcon brakes aren't terrible to begin with for the first stop or two if you fit good pads, just go downhill once they get hot. Paired up with Territory rears (or even without) it sounds like a great deal - and every part other than the bracket is available off the shelf, eg. discs, pads, piston seals and so on. Once I've used up the brakes I have I will likely get a set of these :-)

This set up is for people who can't fit brembo's to there wheels or have the budget for Brembo's. This kit should fit behind the 18" FG XR8 rim but we haven't tried all of them as yet.
The kit is only available in kit form sorry i do not have enough brackets to sell separate. We may do another run down the track.

Saw these on a FGX on car sales.
Looks like they clear the FGX 19's

Pretty sure I saw this setup behind a set of G6E 19"s ... so clears the back of the spokes on those from my understanding.

On any front wheel you need atleast 90mm clearance between the outside rotor face and inside spoke face for Brembo's to fit. We also have a thread going in our section with over 130,000 views for wheels that clear brembo brakes if that helps.

Are these a worthy upgrade over the 322 Turbo brakes and do they fit inside the FG 18's?

Can you please quote the above whole kit using DBA T3 and Bendix HD pads?
Front and rear to suit an AU sedan with IRS rear.

You will need a few mods done to the rear to make it fit but i believe the info is up on this forum. Total cost is $2500 for this kit complete with all brake components. Freight to you is extra.

I'm assuming this kit fits behind fg2 19" luxury wheels? I've been debating Brembos for the turbo for years but don't want to ditch the wheels for one thing.

It fits behind most wheels although one guy in QLD said it didn't fit one of his wheels once but we never found out what wheel it was as he offloaded it on his mates car.
We use the front 355mm rotor used on the Brembo kits so that sits about 15 to 20mm closer to the rim than the factory std discs if that helps.

OK we had sold out of these but just recently have another 1 or maybe 2 kits (if i get the last set of calipers) .These may well be the last as the calipers are no longer available.

Matt,

Interested in a kit. Car is Mk2 GS with 19” rims same as on BF GTs. Currently has 322mm front and solid 303mm rears.

Cheers, John.

John those wheels shouldn't be a issue i have 1 front 355mm kit left at $1500.
We can also do a FPV rear 328mm rear upgrade to match for $1000. This would be a one of price for now as all our suppliers have put the prices up on the calipers and i believe the front calipers are now not available and i have the last batch. Freight or fitting would be extra

Just organised a kit with Matt for the front of the AU :dance

I've only ever seen good feedback on the forums for Matt and just wanted to add my 2 cents, his customer service was top notch and I would have no hesitation in recommending Race Brakes.

Should be ok but you would have to make brackets for them. Just make sure they fit the correct thickness rotor you are going to use as well.
