I am sitting here now watching a massive storm brew and head sth toward's the nth suburb's of Melb, I would suggest anyone with vehicle's that have them out side get them in if they can and batten down, it has been swirling around the last few hr's up here and two storm's have meet up and it's heading your way, just a quick head's up just in case people..

At least it wasn't like Picton NSW this afternoon ... they copped it as bad as Penrith the previous afternoon. Have seen a couple of doozies over the last few days up here.

Not much up this way in the Macedon Ranges, a bit of lightning, thunder and some rain for about 10 minutes, that was it.

BOM radar images was showing heavy rain right over here, but it didn't turn out to be much at all.

I was watching that storm on the radar last night, it moved to the NE and off the screen.

We had 28.5mm rain last night and this morning in Sunbury.
Good we finally had some rain, its been pretty dry here since Xmas day.

I got well and truly caught in it last night, although, when I was unloading at Bendigo, it wasn’t that bad. I have three video cams mounted in the windscreen of the truck (2 HD and 1 Full HD) and managed to get some great footage of the lightning.

I’ve done a few screen shots, although they don’t look as good as the video footage. I’m in the process of making up another demo clip and will have last night’s storm featured in it.

Here’s two pics. I have another nine that I’ll add to the thread as I upload them.

Cheers

Thanks for that.

These shots were all taken from the same second. The black line in the third shot is the wiper blade.

And last of all, before the rain hit, a sight that GasOLane would be very familiar with…

Getting bagged up by a REAL truck.

Fantastic shot's mate, it certaintly hung around for a while, that's why I thought it was building up into something as it was swirling around for ages, I seen one storm come in from the east and another from the nth and they hit just sth of Bendigo and hung around for ages, it was very dark and looked amazing from my joint, the last I seen of it it headed of down Mt Alexander toward's Kyenton.

Great shots there Full noise!

I had been watching and waiting for that same storm to hit as it looked similar to Christmas day and that one destroyed my Dads car, our pergola and the garage roof.

We got a little bit of rain but that was about it.

The lightening in the shots above is hitting the ground full tilt!
