I'd be more inclined to get your hands on a Mondeo XR5 or Focus XR5, but look for one with its original owner rather than P platers as the Focus XR5 has become a bit of a P plate weapon of the 2020s.

You get all the diesel torque but with another 50kw worth of power, and a mint sounding 5 cylinder engine that sounds deep, like V8s.
